The Newslington Press Club and Cafe™ is the human centre of the ecosystem. Journalism has always been made in rooms as much as on pages – in press clubs, cafes, lobbies and bars where reporters argue, verify, mentor, recruit and recover. As reporting moved online, most journalists lost that room entirely.

The Press Club and Cafe™ is designed to return it, in both physical and digital form: a professional and social home where members of the Newslington network can meet, hold briefings, host press conferences, run panels, screen work, celebrate awards and simply sit with people who understand the profession.

It is intended to be a working institution rather than a lounge. Accreditation and membership, briefing rooms, interview spaces, recording facilities, mentoring circles, city chapters and visiting-journalist access are all part of the concept, connected through the Newslington Passport™ so that a journalist arriving in an unfamiliar city is never a stranger there.

Trust in journalism is built between people before it is published to the public. The Press Club and Cafe™ exists to make that possible again, city by city, wherever Newslington journalists gather.
